Guru Rinpoche appears in the brocade in the form known as "Guru Nangsid Zilnon" — translated as "The one who subdues all appearances with splendor". This particular form is said to be especially powerful and beneficial in our modern times. It acts as a protective force for the environment where it is displayed and creates an air of harmony. Most important, it plants the seeds of liberation in all who see it. Guru Rinpoche said that such images are more than pictures. They are blessed to be his emissaries.
